Is this possible on the 2012 Air?
Is it possible to hook up a thunderbolt display plus a 1600x1200 display to the mac air? I thought I read somewhere it wasnt possible to chain a non thunderbolt display to a thunderbolt display.

[Macbook]->[Thunderbolt Display]->[Thunderbolt hard drive]->[Mini-Displayport adapter]->[Second Monitor] It has to be a non-display Thunderbolt device which has two Thunderbolt ports for daisy chaining, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Thunde...underbolt+desk |

Another option would be to use a USB display adapter like this: http://www.iogear.com/product/GUC2020DW6/
As I understand it they don't offer performance as good as when using the Thunderbolt/Displayport video output built into the laptop, so it probably wouldn't work well for games and such. |
