iTunes 11

Hi there I am having problems with iTunes. I recently changed to a new mac mini and am slowly adding my music into iTunes however the new songs I add dont appear in the library. However they do appear in the playlist recently added.
Also when I search the artist it comes up but when I click it takes me to the artist tab where there are some artist but not the new artist that were added.

Any clues to whats going on why i cant see all music in my library.

Also when I use remote the new artist appear but they still dont show up in the library.

Please help
