Mac Mini 2012 HDMI Issues

Hey, I just bought a base model 2012 mac mini and am unfortunately having issues with the HDMI port. I have updated everything completely. The only issues I have, is randomly (3 or 4 times a day) the hdmi will randomly cut out and come back 5 seconds later. I know there was an issue, and the software update was supposed to fix that. Is this the old issue? Or is it a unique problem with my mac mini itself?
