As others have stated, no, you really don't.

While you can easily find Galaxy S3's on the used market for $375-$425, you're not going to find an iPhone 5 16gb in great condition for less than $500 (unless the person is desperate for money or the phone is stolen).

So, again, stop giving the OP bad information and trying to cost him money.
