Dicrepancies in Activity Monitor

Hi I just got a new Macbook Pro (2012 release) and have noticed that CPU usage in activity monitor isn't adding up. Any help on whats happening? (screenshot attached)

You have 4 cores. The cpu usage can go up to 400%

Look at the bottom left to see actual usage.
