One of the most annoying things about my Macbook Pro 17 is that it sometimes takes 4 to 6 times after clicking "Sleep" (Apple > Sleep) to get my Mac to finally go to sleep. I just did a PRAM reset and its still doing that. Can someone please tell me how I can fix this?

Thank you very much. :)

I'm a rolling stone.
There is most likely a process running which prevents the MBP from going into sleep.

Try this, Log into another account, if you don't have one create one, then login into that account and see if the problem is gone, if so you know the problem is in your normal User Account, and should go from there to see which process is preventing it going into sleep.

Is it enough to click Command and Tab to see what processes are running or would I need to open the Activity Monitor?
