Former Oriole Manager Earl Weaver Has Died
He passed away while on a cruise. Always thought he was a good manager and a class act.

I remember him getting thrown out of both games of a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium. RIP Earl.

As a resident of Baltimore old enough to have attended O's games when Earl was manager, I'm saddened by the news of his passing. 'Dawg is right, Earl wasn't particularly classy, but his baseball acumen cannot be overlooked. Earl Weaver always understood the value of the 3-rn homer.
I'm glad Earl made it long enough to see his statue placed this past season. RIP, Earl.
