Looking for a CD ripping program

I have had PC's all my life, new to Mac

I used to use NERO to rip my music because I want to use the LAME encoder. Are there any Mac ripping programs that use LAME to rip the audio?

any help is appreciated.

The Fraunhofer encoder that is build into iTunes is better than LAME. Yes LAME is free but that is ist's only advantage.

But if your device will play AAC files you will get better sound using AAC than MP3 (assume the bit rates are the same.)
