Adobe Audition drumming and talking
I have a video I am doing right now and I used a Zoom H2 to record the teacher hand drumming. He talks during the drumming as well as in between demos.
As such, I had the compressor on and now have nice drums sounds but the speaking parts are quiet. I like using audition to round trip the process and would like help trying to easily set the vocal levels to the same as the drum levels. Anyone have suggestions?

try this: take an empty pop can, place it on the floor, smash it flat, now try to pull it back to how it was. see how it looks like crap? that's called compression |

Turns out what I was looking for was the SPEECH VOLUME LEVELER.
it makes everything more equal in volume. found it here http://www.larryjordan.biz/audition-power-tips/
