3.5" HDD Enclosure that SPINS DOWN during sleep
Hey all:
Any suggestions on a CHEAP external enclosure that will actually SPIN DOWN when my Mac mini sleeps? I have two of these that are awesome, but I need a 3.5" one for an "archive" drive (things I want connected but don't need all the time, and that doesn't have to be terribly fast). USB 2.0 is fine for this, but I would like something that looks nice with my mini. I bought one of these Masscool enclosures from Newegg, but I'm sending it back because it won't spin down at all. Other than biting the bullet and spending $39 for the OWC Mercury, does anyone know of any other options that look nice AND are cheap? Rare combo, I know...
