app store broken - cannot sign in

my app store is half dead: i can update the os (am on x.8.2 now) but nothing else works.
when i try to log in, nothing at all happens.
when i try update software like iphoto, it just sits there not even starting to download.
when i try install free software, pressing the install buttons, nothing happens.

anyway i can reset that thing?

Did you try putting in your password correctly? I hear that sometimes that is the problem.
