iPhone/iPad Mini combo?

I looked around the forum and didn't see anything, but has anyone else heard of Apple launching an iPad Mini with cell service in China later this year?

I mean, this is basically an iPhone with a 7.9 inch screen.

I read this on a local news channel's website in regards to "phablets" and whether or not they are the new, hot item.

I'm fairly certain there's a product like this that will be released in China with "Apple" branding... Overall it's the worst idea and device concept ever.

Apple just needs to make a 4.5 or 4.8 iPhone release it with a newly designed iOS7 software and never have to worry about the hardware size for sometime which leaves them only to focus on the software side.
