iPad Mini: Gap in antenna band iPad mini Verizon

have a new slate black Verizon 16GB iPad mini. I can see a tiny uneven gap in the black antenna area. I can see a gold shiny surface undrneath peeking through. Should I return?

Gosh, honestly I probably would return it. I had a black one that came out of the box nicked and returned it without hesitation.

For the record, my AT&T Black & Slate doesn't have those gaps. Of course you can always use it if it doesn't bother you a whole lot and just take it to Apple one day while you're within your 1 year warranty period.

That's pretty weird. I wouldn't blame you if you returned it, but personally I wouldn't put forth the effort. After all, the screen is on the other side; you're not going to spend very much time looking at the back unless you're holding it wrong.

I have an appointment tomorrow with a genius. My last 2 visits with the Genius have not gone well.

If they don't replace this, I'll be really surprised.

Update

The Apple store replaced my iPad mini.

It's now restoring from my previous back up.
