Why is there a spare blank app page on my iphone?

It comes up when i hold down on an app to delete it and it comes up with an empty page i can flick onto, it also shows up in the apps bit on my itunes.

Is there hidden apps on my iphone or is this just normal?

That's how it is for everyone.
It shows up when you're moving apps only incase you want to move one to another new page.

It's so you can create a new page if you wish to drag apps there. If it only shows up when you're moving apps around it's completely normal.
