Pair iPhone with new bluetooth feature?

Since I lost my apple Tv remote I would love it so I could pair my iPhone with Apple Tv because It doesn't work with the remote app since it doesn't connect to wifi when I travel can I pair my iphone with apple tv as a bluetooth keyboard and or remote?

You could always be crazy and try it out for yourself.

My inclination is to say no, that won't work. Personal Hotspot should, though.

Personal Hotspot doesn't work because I can't tell the apple TV to connect to it without the remote.
