What would be a better machine for general use, watching a few films and the odd game of football manager. Basic 21.5 inch iMac (1099 quid one) with fusion drive or the next one up (£1249.99 one) with a better processor (the i7)

Your in a forum with a bunch of people who only have one volume setting on their AMP, 11.

With that said, I would get the 21 or 27 with the i5 and 1TB fusion at a minimum. If you can afford it, get the i7... remember if you buy the 21, you have to upgrade the memory now.

You need absolutely nothing special for what you are talking about. Get the lowest model possible on whatever screen size you so desire.
