iPad 3 on 6.1, good performance?
I still have both iPads in the family on 5.1.1
Just wondering, how has 6.1 been working out for you on iPad 3? Was too afraid to try 6.0.x on the tablet. Iphone 5 I didnt mind nearly as much because, what other choice did you have? |

Not a large sample size (probably ~4 hours between last night and this morning), but everything seems good so far. I can't say that I've really noticed a difference between 6.0.x and 6.1.

And battery life has been about the same iOS 5 to iOS 6 for you?

After upgrading yesterday, it still hung up for a few seconds when I was typing something. Haven't noticed it other than that one time, and I also haven't noticed any hangs when scrolling or tapping icons yet. That was happening to me all the time after the iOS 6 upgrade. It's effin' annoying because it was a speed demon on iOS 5. I don't get what got added that killed the performance so badly.

Seems okay to me.
iOS6 seemed a little laggy at the very odd times with lots of app's open but otherwise no different in typing etc. 6.1 seems to give me a little more battery life, but it was good beforehand so almost no difference. Either way, seems fine to me.

Battery life is amazing.
Hadn't plugged it in since the update... though I did when I left the house this morning.

I played with a parent's iPad 3 on 6.1, and it is smooth.
Seems about same performance as 5.1.1, at least not any worse. Same with battery life in my limited testing. |

Performance is unnoticeably different from any other OS version.

I've run into a few app issues (I'm looking at you, crashing Amazon Instant Video), but not much else.

I've had my iPad 3 on iOS 6 since about two weeks after it came out. No real issues and what minor ones I had were solved by a restore back to factory software and pulling down my iCloud backup.

6.1 has been just fine as far as I can tell on my iPad 3. No obvious improvements but no negatives either.
