Static First Post on WordPress
I am looking for a way where my first post will stay at the top of the front page and then all the rest of my posts funnel under it.
Thanks! |

You need to use a plug-in like this:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-posts-order/ or this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/q2w3-post-order/

have you tried posting it and afterwards change the date it was posted at to some time in the future ?
because it's been posted already, it shouldn't schedule it, just move it to the top of the chronological list (assuming that's how posts are displayed)

Exactly. The feature is a little hidden though:
- Go into "Posts" - Hover over a post and click "Quick Edit" - Check the box next to "Make this post sticky" No need for plugin or changing post date.
