Exactly. It really comes down to the percentage chance that he'll cave into the torture. I can't imagine that anybody wouldn't torture the fat man if there were 100% chance he'd spill the beans. What about a 99% chance?

97%?

96%?

95%

...

There's an old joke with the punchline, "I know what you are. Now we're just haggling over price" that seems to apply here.
