iPad: Lifeproof iPad or iPhone 4S

I own a iPad 4 and iPhone 4S and my questions is which one should I get the, nude or the Lifeproof for the iPhone 4S.My other question is if you get the nude, and when your ipad screen gets mud for example would the oleophoic coating wear,and my final question, if you get a Lifeproof for the iPhone 4S, will the be the same volume.

P.S has your Lifeproof failed before.
