I have used crucial in both my macs and have had no problems. I only put 8gb in my mini and it was transformed performance wise.
HTH.

Performace-wise, the Kingston HyperX Plug'n'Play. If you're budget conscious, get the Crucial.

Please take a look at these two links, two things that grab my attention..
1 price 2 appears the same chips are used, the pc boards are the same. How do you see it? What is your opinion ? Is Apple hosing us that bad? http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...3-10600)-2x4gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo |

This is what I bought but it looks like they are all out of stock right now. Glad I got it before they sold out. Just received it today installed it and it works great.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148609 It was about $81 with tax and shipping.

Dell: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...en&s=dhs&cs=19 - $175 for 16GB HP: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh....do#anchor-top - $200 Lenovo - http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/c...0025:00003352: - $340 Etc. etc. etc. Based on the above prices, I'd say Apples cost of $300 is on the high side compared to Dell and HP, it is actually LESS than Lenovo! This shows that ANY PC builder will be at least twice the cost of what you can buy in store and as much as 4x the cost! So please, no more "Apple upgrades are over priced" because they are from ALL vendors... It's called "making money"....

I'va always used Crucial for upgrading memory on all my Macs: iBook, iMac &, more recently, 2011 Mac Mini, upgraded from 4GB to 8GB.
Crucial never let me down + their lifetime guarantee suggests great confidence in their products. |

Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair and Kingston are reliable and reputable names in Mac Memory. If buying on new egg, check the reviews. look for specifically for mac reviews citing specific computer models. I find that price and specific positive reviews are huge assets before finalizing my purchases.
