New iMac internet problem
I just bought a brand new iMac 21" last wed.
it's 2.9GHz 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz) with 6MB L3 cache and I added the fusion drive, with tax and everything it came a little over $2000. and I'm having a BIG problem. the internet connection is weird, to say the least. It's not just slow. 90% of the time I open a browser I get "failed to open the server does not respond" type of message. So far I have tried wireless ethernet connection changing DNS numbers (that I found on google) rebooting the modem and tried using different browsers such as firefox and chrome. I haven't tried any of the disk manager because it's a brand new computer. is there anything else I can try to see what the problem is? Internet itself cannot be a problem because I have a PC laptop and macbook pro that is just fine on wireless. I just feel like I have a defective computer. Please help.

How are other devices on the router going when connected to the Internet? OK or are thet also having problems? If they are having problems to it may not be your iMac
