Hi All,

I'm a bit of a newbie on this subject :)

I used Absynthe to jailbreak my iPhone 4S and have configured it just how I like it (lockscreen, swipe transitions (Barrel), Theme etc) under iOS 5.1.1

Since I need to upgrade to 6.x before I can apply the evasi0n jailbreak, how can I keep all my settings and configuration as I would imagine the official iOS upgrade will remove Cydia and any unknown apps? Or is that not the case?

I have a PKGBackup of my phone + apps and iCloud too.

Appreciate any help

Thanks
Jon

I've had little success with apps that are supposed to back up Cydia apps. I would recommend you restore to iOS 6.1 and restore your non-jailbreak settings and configurations from your iCloud backup. Then you can jailbreak and restore your apps one-by-one. Remember, not all Cydia apps have been ported to work with iOS 6.1, so it's not that important to try and backup apps that may or may not work yet.
