I am having some problems with my mac HDD, I first installed ML and I had Lion So I made a partiton with Lion and ML on each one. Then I deleted the partition, and now the lion partition is Free Space and I cant merge the free space into my ML partiton. So can you guys please help me? I have attached a screenshot of what my partiton layout looks like.

You cannot change a partition from its beginning, only its end, thus you cannot merge the two partitions as of your stated case.
You either partition the free space and have an additional volume/partition on your Mac, or clone the OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion partition via CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper! to an external, properly formatted*, HDD and boot from that, then format the internal HDD as shown in below guide and then clone the contents back.
