When pressing the power button to start your Mac, hold down the OPTION key to select Macintosh HD to boot from.
After you booted into Mac OS X successfully, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk* and select the Macintosh HD as your startup disk.
Then open Boot Camp Assistant to remove Windows.
Maybe this almost click-by-click tutorial can help:
Images are clickable, as they need to be in thumbnail size due to their width.
4=5, 5=6, 6=7
PS: While Macs are primarily made for Mac OS X, but are using components almost any other consumer computer manufacturer does uses and those components are compatible with Windows due to that, it is fairly easy to run Windows on Macs, if one knows, what s/he is doing.
And backups are also a good idea.
