Generic Lightning cables hitting retailers...
I was just at Circle K (convenience store in AZ) and I was browsing their generic phone accessories and I saw a generic lightning cable in fairly nice blister packaging. Looks like it is better quality than the eBay junk. Only $14.

It's a pretty big market that hasn't been tapped out, yet, in terms of cheap lighting connector equipment. It won't be for the next product cycle or two, either. We're still at the first cycle of lighting connector devices after all.

LOL seriously... Chances are OP spent more than $6 in the convenience store anyway. Coulda put back the chips, candy bar, soda AND the cable and just bought one from Apple. (and scored some anti-dibeetus points)

I didn't say I bought it. I just snapped a pic of it. I am not in the market for more lightning cables anyway. My iPhone 5 just sold on eBay and my Note 2 is in the mail.

Congratulations, you are really going to enjoy your Note II.
You'll find it to be so much fun, offering more great features than you ever imagined. It's all the little things as well as the more substantial features that will surprise you. Mines most certainly one of my all time favorites. The more you use it the better it gets ![]() (For the record I'm _ not_ bashing my iPhone 5) |

I'm not being critical of your post, but the iPhone cables I've bought from Amazon in the past have been of inferior quality. Out of the package they looked great. But the wire quality was poor, they were stiff and failed where the wire joined the connector.

Not every generic cable is the same but these seem to be pretty good so far. They were 2 lightning cables for $7.99 |
