just saw this from the mothership, thought Retina was only 2.5Ghz i5?

$2200 brand new. (without the upgraded SSD),

the 2.9 is a $200 addition over the regular price of 2000

Yes, that is an upgrade option on the more expensive 13" model. You end up saving $410 over the comparable new 2.9 w/ 512 SSD.

Edit 2: Wow, I just saw that upgrading the rMBP 13" from 128 GB SSD to 512 GB SSD is $800!
