Why do some of my ATVs have (2) after the name?
So when I go to stream something from say my iPhone 5, some of my AppleTVs have a (2) after the name, even though that isn't the name of the unit. E.g. my bedroom and living room unit say "Bedroom Apple TV (2)" and "Living Room Apple TV (2)" but my daughter's says "Lauren's Apple TV" with no (2).

This happens because at one point, those Apple TVs saw a device or a ghost of a device with the same name on the network. They then changed their name in accordance with the Bonjour standard to prevent problems.

Is there any way to make it go away? Like renaming it and then naming it back?

Sure, rename it and name it back again. But it may happen again in the future.
