Huawei Datacard 303Cs on Macbook Pro

Hi,
I recently purchased a Huawei datcard 303c. however i discovered that it is not being detected on mac. OS X 10.8. I have tried various solutions i gor from this forum/google. I downloaded the mobile partner for mac, tried downloading drivers for the device, i tried to plug the device into another USB hub but all to no avail . an occasional green light blinks on the device when i plug it in but other than that no other signs of life. the device works fine with windows. any solutions??
