Well, the issue also exists on iPhone 5, so I'm surprised they only released this for the iPhone 4S.

how often does Apple release software updates for a specific iPhone model? Usually they encompass the whole family of iPhones

The OTA update is 26MB... but it still wants about 600 MB of free space to install.

Ugh.

Nothing on my 4S is broke so I chose not to fix it with this update.

Indeed, now that it's JB, iOS6 does what it should have been doing all this time.

I remember when 640kb would run an OS (DOS) including Lotus 123 & Word Perfect.

I have been having issues with my 4S ever since the previous update. Hopefully this fixes it. I shouldn't just lose service completely, especially when other people with the same service (but an iPhone 5 and 4) had full service.

No it doesn't fix the exploits in the jailbreak, but the jailbreak installer won't run.

Hmm.. I did have some 3G connections issues the other day (couldn't connect to anything on the internet), while I had full bars. This is on AT&T. I'm on Wifi most of the time, so don't use 3G enough to tell if this is a reoccurring issue.

I guess I'll do this update, but I'm jailbroken and have to wait.

Mine shows '6.1.1 (10B145)' - is this what you are looking for?

Maybe apple wanted to roll out a buggy iOS 6.1 so evasi0n releases their jailbreak and days later rolls out a "fix" which will force users to update their device 6.1.1 and patch the jailbreak exploit. Genius! LMAO

Anyways im running iOS 6.1.1 beta 1. So im guessing its going to be renamed to iOS 6.1.2?
