Hey folks,

Just looking for a bit of advice. I have two Mac Pros used for video editing that I have been asked to try and access a NAS/drive WITHOUT being connected to the internet. I have a network switch and a Lacie ethernet disk mini. Im not sure where to begin with it. The key thing is that it is not connected to the existing internet network.

Regards,

Ivor

You do not need the internet (the world wide network you use to connect a local computer to other computers around the world to share data) to connect two computers, that are in almost the same location (office in your case). You use a local area network (LAN) for that.
Are those two Macs connected in any way to a LAN (not the internet, as it is not necessary) via wire (Ethernet cable) or wireless?
