http://www.technewsdaily.com/16875-backup-iphone.html

The claim -
Backing up with iTunes can be done by either connecting your iPhone to the computer wirelessly -

Since when have Apple devices been able to do anything wireless other than headset?

According to Apple, iTunes 10.5 and IOS 5.

Beside WIFI sync, iPhone can AirPlay to another Apple's device, it can Stereo-Bluetooth to your BT-capable stereo, I think u can eve use a full size BT keyboard if u want to.

Right - thats what BT Headphone service means - link to other speakers.
It's the only way i run my phone to JamBox to answer the phone vs worthless speaker on iphone.

WiFi sync to get random file data - I highly doubt it.
If there is youtube video on it - we'll see, or its a hack.
Ive never seen one friend use it - or demo it.

You can sync with iTunes via wi-fi, just as if you were plugged in via USB. The support article that Mrbobb linked explains how:
