Hi,

Yesterday when I was connecting my charger to my 2010 MBP it attached at a crooked angle, and because one of the pins was semi-broken the charger came to close to the chassi and in some way shorted the charger through the chassi (there was a sound and a small flash). After that my MBP won't take charge (tested several magsafes - no light or response whatsoever) Something is obviously broken.. One thing though, when I press the battery button on the side, it flashes (battery was empty when the accident happened).

Anyone have a clue to what could be broken? (considering that it's still able to put out info about battery status)

Where would you start looking?

Tips on low-level diagnosis of parts after I open the chassi?

Any info appreciated!
