mac hangs while startup and freeze with the spinning wheel

I have Macbook Air 2011 13" with mountain lion. It's few months old.

System freeze with spinning wheel .it happening recently a lot.

i have to switch off with power button and switch on again to get into the system.

Can anybody helps me with this issue?
