Charging iphone 5 with portable charger intended for iPhone 4S?

If I use the portable charger like this:

Except that I change the cable with the iPhone 5 lightning cable, is it safe? Thanks.

As long as the voltage is right, which it will be then yes it's fine. I use one quite often with my 4S....
