MBA 11" Not going into sleep mode, ever
Hey guys
Long time listener - first time caller. I have searched extensively for my issue and never found anything that is the same. My MBA has started to fully drain the battery when I close the lid over night, it will also drain fully if I leave the lid open, the display shuts off - so it looks like its sleeping. But after 4-5 hours without being plugged in it will go from having 100% battery to 0%. I have to manually select Sleep from the Apple menu to get the MBA to keep its charge over night. I have not updated or changed anything other then the standard auto updates. I dont really know much about computers or Mac's so Ill just copy in the info that looks like it should mean something to me.. Version 10.6.8 System Power Settings: AC Power: System Sleep Timer (Minutes): 0 Disk Sleep Timer (Minutes): 0 Display Sleep Timer (Minutes): 0 Wake on AC Change: No Wake on Clamshell Open: Yes Wake on LAN: Yes Current Power Source: Yes Display Sleep Uses Dim: Yes Standby Delay: 4200 Standby Enabled: 1 Battery Power: System Sleep Timer (Minutes): 10 Disk Sleep Timer (Minutes): 10 Display Sleep Timer (Minutes): 2 Wake on AC Change: No Wake on Clamshell Open: Yes Display Sleep Uses Dim: Yes Reduce Brightness: Yes Standby Delay: 4200 Standby Enabled: 1 TIA! |

You may have a program running that keeps the Mac awake.
