[iPad] Unknown status symbol?

Hi guys,

I just connected my iPad to a new speaker I bought and this symbol appeared in my status bar (the one in the middle) does anyone know what it is/what it represents?

Ah okay, I assumed it was that. But then again I've used it for a few hours so I'm surprised its still full.
