JB it and then use your 2GB of data any way you want.

There is no tether fee, it's just the 5GB plan requirement. The shared data plans also have tethering included.

As I remember it, the 5g plan does include tethering, but it's the shared plan. When I converted my unlimited to 5g to get tether, it was a later move per month, but there was a $15 fee additionally.

Take a look at the new Mobile Share plans. You might be able to save money with one of the lower plans that includes tethering vs moving up to the 5GB plan to get tethering.

That $15 would be the prorated difference between unlimited & the 5GB plan. Shared does not even have 5GB as an option. It's only 1,4,6,10,15,20.

ahh, there you go.
I found it advantageous to keep four distinct phones under my company plan vs. the shared tier though - saved about $45/mo.

The 5GB plan, which includes tethering, is $50 a month. Since the 2GB plan is no longer offered I don't know what you're paying so don't know how much of a bump it will be.

That's interesting. My company discount got better by moving to the shared plan because it applied to the data, instead of the minutes under the old system.

I got it when it was the app in the app store, but its $30 a year for basic tethering. Works fairly well, and have never had a problem with AT&T and I'm on Unlimited, granted I use it very rarely and not for long.
