Never is a very strong word I rarely use. Yet I will state that I will never buy an iWatch or any derivative. It's just one step closer to being leashed. Far too intrusive as far as I'm concerned.

Yet with Apples never ending power & control over the masses... I'm sure they will prevail over those who prefer to let Apple determine what's best for them.

Another part of the reason a watch is key, is because it's rude to pop out your phone to check the time in the company of others, and there isn't always a clock around. OTOH one can discreetly glance at a watch with a gentle arm stretch.

I guess I'm fortunate enough to have a job where I'm not judged based on my dress. Nor do I have a need to attend "social events" full of snobby, materialistic rich folks.

If I had to guess, I'd say the only reason snobby, materialistic rich folks wear watches at social events is so they know how much time until they can get the **** outta there. Since no one really wants to be there anyways.

I remember reading somewhere that the lightning cable was water resistant. If they could get this device water resistant or proof, it would be great.

Knowing Apple's chance of getting accessory makers on board, I believe the strap should be an independent accessory or can be replaced.

The iPod Nano watch was a great precursor to this, and all they need is to get the last gen Nano functioning with some type of connection (bluetooth preferred) with some water resistance.

The best thing would be for Apple to integrate a wireless charger into all their future iOS devices. Keep the cable connector, but add the charger somewhere on the back (maybe through the Apple logo?).

Imagine smart covers with a little extra battery juice?!

Mine too. I only wear a suit for weddings and funerals. Only a stranger would judge me based on my appearance alone and I couldn't care less about the opinions of strangers. I like to keep them guessing.

What will it do though, Project facetime calls? Presumably it will have similar features to the ipod nano, plus a camera of some form, and siri... but beyond that i can't see much use for this.

I can think of many more uses for an iWatch than what you've listed here.

As someone who ALWAYS wears a watch, and whose dress watch recently broke, this is very intriguing to me. I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

Does it, Samsung beat Apple to the punch line though CES2013, but Samsung haven't made anything, A RACE IT WILL BE.
Although there are smartwatches out there, nothing like this, just like the old slide phones were "smartphones" back then.

You don't know that. Glass does look very intriguing, but because it's voice activated its usage scenarios are limited. You can't interact with it during a meeting, for instance, and you can't even look at porn because everyone in the vicinity would know what you're looking at.

Frankly I think the ultimate setup would be Glass controlled by a small touchpad strapped to one wrist... at least until you can control Glass with your mind
