Is my iphone locked?
So I bought a new iphone, it was on Koodo ( a carrier in Canada, same company as Telus). They turned it on in store after it was done and made a test call with the sim from Koodo in the device. When I got it home it said there was a carrier update available and asked if I wanted to install it. I said no and put my sim card in (Petro Canada which uses the Rogers network). It got signal, I updated OTA over wifi to 6.1.2 (was on 6.0.1) and it did its thing, still saying petro canada on the top and has signal. It has stopped asking me to update the carrier settings and says the carrier is Rogers now in the settings menu (used to say Koodo). I updated the APN with the iphone config utility so it can access my data and the phone is working (at least for data, I haven't tested calling). My phone was supposed to be locked to koodo but I am now using another network, why is this working?

Sometimes, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
