Multiple Editing Song Info on iTunes for Mac

There are 2 users on my Mac OS X 10.8.2. User 2 cannot edit the song information in iTunes. I thought by giving User 2 all of the permissions to read and write the XML and database files, this would allow User 2 to edit the song information. When I try to edit song info in User 2's iTunes, the song information is greyed out.

Both User 1 and User 2 are sharing the same library file from User 1's folder.

What am I missing or is this even possible?
