HP Pavilion 27 xi 27-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor

The HP Pavilion 27xi is similar to the Dell 2740 -- that is, they use the same LG IPS panel, and both the HP and the Dell have "glossy" glass panels over the display.
The same LG panel is being used in several other 27" displays. A couple that come to mind are
- AOC i2757fh
- ASUS MX279H
The 2012 iMacs have changed back from the "glossy" displays of 2007-11 to an "anti-glare" finish, is that correct?
In that case, you might choose a second anti-glare panel to sit next to it. The AOC and ASUS would be better in this regard.

I just got mine hooked up about 30 minutes ago; impromptu trip to Costco. I am in love with this monitor. I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13" and it is driving it beautifully. It was a little pricier than some of the other available 27" monitors, but it is just a beautiful piece of equipment. I may just get another one to set up side-by-side.

Suggestions for improving type clarity (macbook pro & HP Pavilion 27xi)

I' just purchased this monitor to use with my macbook pro. Love the real estate after working on a laptop so long. The type is a little coarse though.
Can anyone recommend best settings to use to get a crisper image for typography on this display?
