Exporting powerpoint slides as hi-res JPEG files

I would like to export a set of powerpoint slides as high-res JPEEG images. If I search for instructions on how to do this, I see PC-specific recommendations to go into REGEDIT and modify the value of ExportBitmapResolution to 300.

Is there some place to alter the corresponding value on my Mac (running Snow Leopard)? How do I do that? TIA.
