No one has answered the question yet - I wonder how they would enforce this? If it's by account, maybe we could set up multiple accounts. If it's by device hardware somehow then hrmm..

But I also don't see myself listening to over 40 hours of music a month via pandora!

That was my first question as well. If the rates are for streaming music, why are desktop users exempt?

Spotify's radio selections are not as good as Pandora in my experience. They seem to be dominated by more well known and popular artists and songs that I've already heard many times over or didn't want to hear in the first place. Also radio stations cannot be deleted on Spotify once they are added or Spotify adds some crap station for you. It depends on what they mean. Their desktop app is part of Pandora One, so that could be what they mean

If not though, it does sound like something government-related. Things that make this little sense tend to be.

I never have any problems with SiriusXM. I don't really use their iPhone app that much, but I do use their website and Pulsar every day and sounds fine.

mobile is where you make your money today, desktop you give away for free to entice people to spend money

I didn't realize mobile had been unlimited. Before I upgraded, I hit my 40 hours on my computer easily; guess I could have just switched to iPod and speaker set. Ah well, it's a solid service to pay for.

I listen to pandora all day every day while programming away at work, but always over wifi.
