Show Custom Texting Name rather than Number

Hi guys.

i do a fair bit of promoting with my iphone using texts etc.

When i get an official text about some promotion, the text message comes through as being sent from people like "Crown Casino" instead of a mobile number such as +61 400 000 001. I dont have their numbers saved under a name in my phone.

How can one do this? Clearly it's possible, i want to use it to promote my products, it looks more professional.

ok ok.

the people i text, they all know who it is, theyre my friends.

i have a different mobile which i use for promoting, so it would be useful if i could use a different name instead of a random number.

Send a message like this first:

"I know you hate getting spammed as much as I do, so save this number into your contacts as IGNORE so that when I "promote" stuff (that you aren't going to care about anyway) you can save yourself the trouble of opening the text"

Then your random number won't pop up anymore for your victi... err... "friends".

Pay for a texting service that people will have subscribe to to receive texts about your promotions. That's how companies send out text messages.

Exactly.

It's not generally possible to change how what the recipient will see as the "sender" of a message using a phone.
