Full 1 year apple warranty, 32gb black iPod touch 4th gen refurbished for $179, worth picking up? They are $209 on apples official site. The eBay store is Apple's official eBay page.

I wanted to get one just for the gym. We have machines that have monitors so I can plug the ipod in and watch movies and TV shows while doing cardio on the built in 13 inch TVs. But is $179 a good price or can I do better?

$195 after tax FYI

IMO no, not worth it. I just bought the 5th gen 32GB for the wife for $300 at Target, with 5% off for using their Visa card and a $25 gift card thrown in (so effectively $275). I think the 5th gen is worth $100 more than than a refurb 4th gen.

If it's mostly going to be used for music and not games, the 4th gen is ok.

Lightning port doesn't plug into the 30 pin port at my gym, adapter doesnt tranfer video at all, only audio.

Sole purpose of this iPod is to store videos to watch on the cardio machines' TVs at my gym. I have an iPhone 5 for all other ios purposes.

Yeah for my purpose, the 4th gen is the only option these days. Just seeing if the 195 after tax is the best bang for the buck for an iPod touch 4th gen 32gb or if I can find a better deal for one.

If you shop around you could probably find a 64gb for that.
