Sounds like a screaming deal. AppleCare tends to imply the seller takes good care of his equipment. At $2K, I'd still have the Genius Bar check it over however.
 
It's new sealed guys, he got it as a gift from his grandparents. I checked the serial with apple and its all good. I will unbox the Mac so that I can check if there's no internal damage. By everyone's response here it seems like a steal

everything went smooth guys 🙂

i turned it on and everything was perfect, it was sealed, no marks, no scratches, nothing! 🙂

im typing on it right now actually, the display iS GORGEOUS OMG!!!
 
glad to hear you like it, best laptop on the market and not just saying that because I too am a proud owner of one.
