Linux Mint & Parallels 8

Has anyone gotten a Linux Mint VM up and running in Parallels 8? I've been toying around with the install and I can't seem to figure out what settings to use since Mint isn't an official Parallels-supported distro. Can I just say it's Ubuntu? What happens when I go to install and Mint wants to reformat? I can't seem to find a guide anywhere on the Internet.

Surely others have done this already. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Mint is based off Debian and Ubuntu, so you can do either. I would stick to Ubuntu.
