iPod Nano question

I am a first time iPod owner. Just bought a black 2GB Nano on Friday night. Very easy to use, but I have a question on getting Contacts on it. I run Windows and I don't have Outlook. I do have Palm Desktop, but it is an older version. Is there a way that I can just add individual contacts manually on my own?
