General mDNSResponder randomly hanging up

I'm facing this issue for the past few days.

My phone (iPhone 5, iOS 6.1) randomly hangs up. Running top reveals mDNSResponder eating all the CPU and RAM. The only way out is a reboot.

I have added a custom hosts file to block ad networks and trackers. I wonder if this is the problem, and is there a way to solve it.

check every tweak installed to see if it may be causing the issue or just restore and re-jailbreak.
